Firstly did your face say what your head thought at the interview?
Sometimes it doesn’t and the interviewer does not know if you are interested in the position or not
At the end of your interview you need to solidify your interest - hand shake, and then something along the lines of “I really enjoyed meeting you and would be really interested in working with you”
Same day after your interview send an email thanking the interviewer for their time, mention how your experience aligns with their requirement
Add a little personal touch, mention something about the interview
End by mentioning when you can start and how you look forward to hearing from them
Keep it short and simple
